Hall & House Hire Terms & Conditions 

General conditions

  • We reserve the right to refuse any booking.  The Church Council cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to either vehicles or property belonging to the hirer whilst on the premises.

  • The premises are not available for any commercial sales, party political events or for any purposes opposing the Christian ethos of the Church.  In some cases, the matter will be referred to the Rector, whose decision will be final.

  • The premises are not licenced for the sale of alcohol or for public music or dancing.  Alcohol may be supplied by party hosts but consumption should be responsible and in moderation.

  • Gambling, apart from the holding of small raffles amongst those present, is not permitted. 

  • The premises are strictly NO SMOKING to comply with fire regulations and our insurance policy.  It may also set off our fire security system.  Should guests need to smoke, they should do so outside the hall, at the front of the building, but please do not leave cigarette ends around the ground.

  • Music at private functions is permitted in the hall but should be reduced in volume after 10.00pm and completely finished by no later than 10.30pm.  We would ask that event organisers ask their guests to respect our neighbours and to keep the noise outside the building to a minimum, particularly when leaving the site.

  • The hall and house should be vacated as quickly as possible after 10.30pm and the site totally clear by 11.00pm.  Vehicles may be left overnight in the car park at owners’ risk.


  • No booking will be confirmed until the deposit has been paid.  At that time arrangements will be made for you to be met on site at the beginning of the event to pay the hire charge and be issued with the key.  No access will be given until the hire charge is paid in full.

  • Deposits will be refunded within 7 days of the event if the hall is left in good order and all rubbish removed from site.

Use of the building

  • The kitchen is available for all hall users. It may be possible to provide exclusive use of it, this should be discussed when the booking is made.  Children under the age of 11 should not go into the kitchen.

  • Users should only use rooms they have booked and paid for.  If users require exclusive use of the House and Hall, this should be discussed when the booking is made.

  • No bikes should be brought into the building.  Use of roller skates, scooters or skate boards within the building is not permitted.

  • Furniture should not be moved between rooms without prior permission from the Parish Office.

  • All corridors, fire exits and entrances should be kept clear at all times.

  • Bunting and balloons may be attached to hooks in the hall wall, or attached with blutac, so long as all signs of blu tac are removed after the hire.  NOTHING SHOULD BE ATTACHED TO THE PAINTED WALL BY THE HATCH.  Any damage caused, will be charged for.  Balloons and bunting should be removed from site at the end of the hire.

  • Please leave the hall and site clear and tidy at the end of your event and REMOVE ALL RUBBISH.  The bin at the end of the driveway is for use by the residents only.


  • Parking on site is for the users of the House, Hall, Church and flats above the hall, and is on a first come, first served basis.  However, please ensure your guests park considerately, and do not block the driveway, or around by the Church.  Access is also required at all times to the Vicarage.  Emergency access maybe required at any time.  Please do not park on the grass.  Alternative parking is available opposite the Church in the car park off Romford Road.


  • Users are responsible for the security of the building and should ensure that the front door of All Saints House is not left open.

  • When leaving the premises, please ensure all windows and doors are locked, all guests have left, and keys are posted back through the letterbox by the big green door at the front of All Saints House.

  • Please ensure all lights have been turned off and all taps are turned off.
